We have celebrated a lovely last day of term. The kindness of students to one another, and indeed their staff, giving cards and gifts (mainly edible!) was lovely to see and be around. It is just another reminder of how blessed we are as a school to have such a caring and cohesive community of students and staff around us. (A number of students local care homes this week – pictured below – to spread Christmas cheer.)

As it is the end of term, each year group will also have its own newsletter, with an end of term summary from the Heads of Year and photographs of that year group’s learning. These newsletters are published on the school website here.

Arrangements for the spring term

We look forward to welcoming all our students back to school ready to begin a new year and new term on Wednesday 4th January 2023. This will be Week 2 – could you please remind your child to pack the correct books for their week 2 timetable. Staff will be returning on Tuesday 3rd January for training during our fourth INSET day for the year. The fifth INSET day is currently scheduled for Friday 30th June 2023.

Support while school is closed

At Greenshaw, we work closely with a variety of agencies including the London Borough of Sutton, volunteer groups and the NHS. Please be aware that our website has many signposts to support agencies in the section ‘Care & Support’ as needed.
