Greenshaw High School

Congratulations to Greenshaw’s Year 13 students

Students in Greenshaw Sixth Form are celebrating some brilliant results today.

31% of all A Levels sat this summer were passed at A* or A grades, and 88% of all A Levels were passed at a C grade or higher. Both of these figures are significantly higher than the national equivalent. Five of our students achieved three A* grades, and no fewer than twenty-eight students achieved three A Levels at grade A or better.

Director of Sixth Form, Sarah Larkin, said: “We are so proud of what was a superb group of students. They really supported each other, and it is brilliant to see what they have done academically, as well as being so committed to the community and cultural development of their year group.”

Three Greenshaw students are headed to Oxbridge. Arnav will be studying Engineering and Emily English Literature at Oxford, while Lucy will be reading Law at Cambridge. We extend huge congratulations as well to Jath, who will be studying Medicine at Kent University. Sixty of our students have been offered places at a Russell Group university, regarded as the most prestigious of university destinations.

Headteacher, Nick House, said: “I want to pass on huge congratulations to all of our students. They have achieved brilliant things already, and have so much to come. I also want to thank all of our staff for their tireless support and care that have supported our students in achieving these results.”

If students currently in Year 11 would like to apply for Greenshaw’s Sixth Form to start here in September 2024, we have a small number of places still available. Please see our website for details of the application process and contact us in person on Thursday 22nd August.
