Friday 14th October is DLD Awareness Day. DLD stands for Developmental Language Disorder and affects some of our students at Greenshaw High School. This year's theme is 'Growing with DLD' – this is to emphasise that DLD doesn't just disappear as you reach adulthood. It's a persistent, lifelong condition.

The poem attached is written by an individual with DLD from a previous year, but please take a moment to read it as it covers a lot of behaviours that are presented by some of our students in school. When you see some of these behaviours, please take a moment and 'Think DLD'.
