GCSE Drama students inspired by Blood Brothers
Students enjoyed the moving musical.
On Wednesday 17th January 2024, 50 students across Year 9, 10, 11 had the chance to attend New Victoria Theatre in Woking. The trip was a fantastic opportunity for students to experience live theatre and see a play titled 'Blood Brothers', the set text that is studied at drama GCSE.
Written by Willy Russell, the play tells the moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences. Students were captivated by the play and enjoyed the superb music score which included Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and Tell Me It’s Not True.
All students demonstrated exemplary behaviour and were congratulated by members of the public for their decorum. I would like to say a massive thank you to all the students and staff that made this trip successful.
