Keeping our children safe online presentation

Tuesday 17th January 6.00pm to 7.00pm.
I am sure you will be aware of how much your children rely on modern communication technology such as the internet, smartphones and social networking as part of their daily lives. Technology moves very quickly and it is difficult to keep up with what children are using.  What they are posting online today could affect their future changes as well as compromising their safety.
  • Do you know who your child is playing games with online?
  • What are they watching on YouTube?
  • What are they posting online?
  • Do you have the knowledge and understanding to keep up with your child's internet activity?
  • Can you give them advice on keeping themselves safe online?
  • Can you set parental controls on a variety of devices?
We would like to offer parents the opportunity to attend an on-line information workshop to learn about what children are currently doing online and how to ensure you are protecting your children from online risks and dangers.

Steve Welding, Sutton Borough Education E Safety Advisor is a former Metropolitan Police Detective who specialised in the "risk management" of convicted sex offenders living in the community and is a member of AACOSS (Association of Adult and Children Online Safety Specialists).

The presentation will last one hour and will include a short film and information on informative websites and will explain how to set parental control on various devices and games consoles.

We are sure this will be of interest to many parent/carers, so it would be helpful for our arrangements if you could indicate whether you would like to attend this presentation by signing up at:-

This event is being held remotely and a link will be sent when you sign up.
