Students win Bar Mock Trial
On the 23rd November, 17 of our wonderful Sixth Form students competed in the Bar Mock Trial at Reading Crown Court against nine other schools
This involved them researching and presenting two cases in front of judges. Students performed roles such as prosecution and defence barristers, jurors, court clerks, ushers and witnesses; they received marks for their performance in each area from the presiding judge, with each school competing in three rounds.
Once the scores had been totted up for all three rounds, it turned out we had won the Reading regional heat, due to the talent and hard work of our incredible students. As a result, we will be competing once again on the 22nd March 2025 at the Royal Courts of Justice in London.
The students were such a credit to the school throughout the entire process, and we are so incredibly proud of them.
