Support for England players

Our anti-racism team invited students to voice their words of support.

As the year came to a close, the anti-racism team invited students to voice their words of support for Rashford, Saka and Sancho and to stand against hatred following the abhorrent racism they experienced after the Euros finals. The community of Greenshaw responded to the call with kindness, love and support for these players, and serves as a key reminder that racism can never win when we use our voices together against it. The words of the students and staff are displayed on a virtual mural of the players on the Greenshaw website and the student Frog page.

In the coming year, the anti-racism team will continue to advance the message of anti-racism, not only through breaking down harmful unconscious bias and microaggressions, but also through celebrations of the joy of diversity to be shared with the wider community.
