Applying to the Sixth Form
The Greenshaw Sixth Form Open Evening for entry in September 2025 was held on Thursday 14th November 2024. Apply to join the Greenshaw Sixth Form by clicking the button below.
The majority of our students follow a course comprising of three A Level subjects. This, alongside the Extended Project Qualification is the optimal course structure for admission to Russell Group universities. On occasion, we do allow students to consider four subjects but there would need to be a clear case for this.
The grade requirement for entry into Sixth Form will be a minimum of five grade B, or grade 6, full GCSEs, to include at least a grade 5 in both mathematics and English language. Subjects may specify that you need a particular grade before you can take up the course, e.g. mathematics requires a grade 7 in mathematics. Students must pass their internal end of Year 12 exams in order to be guaranteed entry into Year 13.
Subjects on offer for 2025-26 are as follows:
3D Design Technology (AQA), Art (AQA), Biology (OCR), Chemistry (OCR), Classics (OCR), Computer Science, Drama (AQA), Economics (AQA), English (OCR), Fashion and Textiles (AQA), French (AQA), Geography (AQA), Graphic Design (AQA), History (AQA), Mathematics (Pearson), Further Mathematics (OCR), Music, Philosophy (AQA), Photography (AQA), Physical Education (OCR), Physics, Politics (AQA), Psychology (AQA), Sociology (AQA) and Spanish (AQA).
